Nurturing Foundations, Flourishing With God

Slideshow

Welcome

Welcome to Minster C of E Primary School

Welcome to Minster C of E Primary, where our journey together begins with a shared commitment to nurturing every child’s growth, rooted in our Christian Foundations and Learning Values.

At Minster, our Christian Foundations of Love, Justice, Creation, Peace, and Forgiveness guide all that we do, creating a compassionate environment where every child feels valued and supported. Our curriculum emphasizes both personal development and educational development, fostering a holistic approach to learning that nurtures each child’s mind, body, and spirit.

We are proud to offer enriching experiences such as OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning), which encourages imaginative and active play, and our Forest School, where children engage with nature to build confidence, resilience, and a love for the outdoors. These hands-on opportunities are key to helping students develop independence, creativity, and teamwork.

At Minster, education is a partnership between the school, the family, and the community. As we embark on another year, we are excited to continue fostering our Learning Values of Resilience, Aspiration, Engagement, and Independence. Our goal is to help each child thrive, just as the tiny mustard seed grows into a strong, flourishing tree.

The story of the mustard seed reminds us that even the smallest beginnings can lead to extraordinary outcomes. We believe every child, no matter their starting point, has the potential to achieve. Our role is to nurture this growth through care, dedication, and a rich learning environment that combines academic excellence with personal well-being.

Our vibrant school community reflects the joy and beauty of this journey. From our dedicated staff to our supportive families and, most importantly, our remarkable children, Minster is a place where love, learning, and play come together. We are committed to ensuring that every child experiences the joy of discovery and the strength of a caring, connected community.

Thank you for joining us at Minster C of E Primary. We look forward to supporting your child’s journey of growth, helping them become confident, compassionate, and capable individuals.

Together, let’s plant the seeds of growth and watch them flourish.

Head of School

Welcome from our Executive Headteacher

We would like to welcome you to our website and hope that as you read about our wonderful school, the words and pictures bring it to life, showcasing what an amazing learning environment it is. We are sure that it will give you a sense of the school’s ethos as well as providing useful information about our learning community.

Minster Church of England Primary School provides a safe and happy learning environment where children and adults share in the joy of learning. Set in beautiful grounds; with our own 4G ‘All Weather’ pitch, Forest School, pond and access to playing fields, we are right in the heart of Minster and welcome families from the village and beyond.

We are enormously proud of our school, and its place within the community of Thanet. Our school is a happy, vibrant learning community that puts our pupils and their needs first. Children are valued and nurtured as individuals; we believe that everyone is special and we strive to build relationships within the school that are conducted with care and concern for one another. All the staff and pupils share a strong belief in our Christian Foundations and Christian Ethos.

Minster Church of England Primary School develops the ‘whole’ child. Our children experience great learning, whilst developing their spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding. These things together are the foundation for their future, equipping them for their life ahead. We aim to develop the whole child through a diverse and culture-rich curriculum. We have the flexibility to shape a curriculum for the future; enabling the highest academic achievements in readiness for secondary school and beyond.

We are committed to providing an excellent education, helping children to achieve by developing enquiring minds and instilling the motivation to learn. We nurture pupil’s ability to work both independently and collaboratively, whilst being confident in taking risks with their own learning.

Our Christian Ethos encourages a real sense of community, and the family nature of the school means that children can be themselves in a safe and accepting environment. Pupils, parents, staff and governors work well together and value standards and achievements. Our overall aim is to provide an enjoyable education that enables children to become confident, creative, aware and responsible members of an equal society.
