Our Christian Foundation of Forgiveness
Our School Rule for Forgiveness - Be kind and think of others.
Something that characterises our ethos at Minster is having a ‘growth mind-set’. No one’s story has been written; everyone is capable of growth and change. Through our Christian Narrative of the Mustard Seed, we can understand that each of us is growing and changing all the time, from the moment the ‘mustard seed’ is in the ground – children and adults alike! There may be setbacks and mistakes along the way, but the important thing is to learn from those mistakes and continue to grow. The Lord’s Prayer says ‘Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us’. We ask for forgiveness, learn from our mistakes and grow from the experience – just as we forgive others and help them to grow too. We are kind to others when they make mistakes – and we think of how it feels to make a mistake, always trying to be understanding of others.
Our Christian Foundation Scripture For Forgiveness:
Matthew 6:14 New Living Translation (NLT)- “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.
