Important Information for Reception New Entrants September 2026
Welcome to Minster Church of England Primary School. This page of our website is just for you, and we hope it will provide lots of useful information for you over the next few months and help you prepare your child for school.
We want to wish you all a very warm welcome to Minster Church of England Primary School.
We hope this page will be useful to provide you with links to all the information you need to prepare for you child starting with us in September.
We have a robust transition in place, which is tried and tested over many years that has received positive feedback from parents about how it has supported their child to settle into school life. This includes meetings with pre-schools and nurseries as well as sessions in school, in smaller groups, to enable us to get to know your children.
We will arrange an induction meeting, date to be confirmed, where there will be a chance to meet the Reception team and other members of the school community, to hear more about a typical day in school and our starting school arrangements.
Please note we cannot accommodate children in these meetings so please do ensure you organise child care should you require this.
Please do visit other pages on our school website – you will find further information about our wider school approach including Staff, Curriculum and Special Educational Needs. In addition, please do follow us on social media for regular photos and information updates on the whole school: Instagram or Facebook.
To ensure we can stay in touch please make sure you let us know ASAP if any of your contact details change. This will ensure you don’t miss any vital updates.
Once again, we welcome you and your child to Minster Church of England Primary School and look forward to meeting you.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, Mrs Bailey Head of Reception, abailey@mandm.school
We are looking forward to meeting you all very soon. ![]()
