The photographer will be in school to take individual and sibling photos on Wednesday 10th November. Please can you ensure your child is in smart school uniform on that day.
Are you ready to use your problem solving skills? What about your exploring and creating skills?
As a school, we will be challenging you and your children to take part in some fun and interesting STEAM activities each half term! We will be sending out an activity sheet at the end of each term that includes some fun seasonal activities that you could do at home as a family. Each sheet contains 5 activities, linked to 5 subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths (STEAM). The activities range from things you can do from inside the home to getting outdoors into nature and most importantly are designed to be fun tasks that the whole family can be a part of!
These are completely optional and have been designed with fun in mind. However, if you do decide to take part then please send your photos to me using my email at the top of the sheet! As part of the fun, we will be putting the names of the children that have done one or more of the STEAM activities into a hat and will be drawing out 2 children at the start of each new term to win a prize linked to one of the subjects.
Your childs annual nasal flu spray is due. The Kent & Medway School Immunisation Team will be visiting our school Tuesday 7th December. A letter and instructions has already been sent out with instructions on how to register your child.
Raincoats – could we please ask that children come to school with appropriate
clothing for the weather.
We will be placing an order for blue reversible waterproof school
coats with the minster logo on. These are available to pre-order
on the school money site and are priced at £23.25.
A few reminders.
Please be reminded that in the mornings we need to 'drop and go to keep the flow'. This follows our current Covid Health and Safety guidelines and must be followed by all adults dropping children off in the mornings. Please do not wait at the fence of the MUGA as some of the children become distressed by this and it prevents other parents safely walking on the path to drop off their children.
During pick up times if you have children in KS1 and KS2 you will need to rejoin the line outside the gate to keep the flow and insure that we are COVID safe.
Parking – please be mindful of local residents when parking around the school. Don’t forget that we have the use of the all weather pitch car park that we have access to
If your child is not in school for any reason can you please phone the school office on 01843 821384 to report them absent. This MUST happen for everyday your child is abscent a per our attendance policy.
ILLNESS - If your child is unwell in any form i.e. headache, tummy ache, sickness, sore throat etc. PLEASE DO NOT send them into school. We would encourage you to undertake a Lateral Flow test on your child.
