Minster Update – 23rd April 2021
Minster Update – 23rd April 2021
Welcome back to Term 5, we can’t believe how fast the first week has gone! It is lovely
to see all the children again. We hope you all had a great Easter half term and are now
looking forward to hopefully having a bit more normality.
We have been approached by a ‘Rainbow Leader’ from St Lawrence Rainbows and they
are looking to recruit girls aged 5 & 6 - If you have a daughter who you think would
enjoy becoming a member of the youngest branch of Girlguiding and are free on a
Monday from 4.30pm then please send a message on 07548 935840 and ‘Snowdrop’ will
gladly give you more information.
Reminder – School photo proofs were sent home on Monday, these can be ordered on
line following the instructions from the leaflet.
DINNER MONEY – If your child has a school dinner, please ensure this is paid either
on the day or by the end of the week. School dinners are £2.24 per day or £11.20 for
the week. Please pay via www.schoolmoney.co.uk. If you have any problems with this,
please contact the Office. Reminder payment is only applicable for Years 3,4,5 & 6.
Appointments – If your child needs to attend a routine appointment such as ‘Check-ups’
at the dentist, opticians etc please can we ask you to try and make them for as early or
late in the day as possible. We are having a lot of children leaving school quite early and
obviously this is disrupting their learning. We do understand at times this may not be
possible but appreciate your help – thank you.
P.E Kits – Please ensure these are left in school during the week (Obviously can be
taken home at weekends to be washed) as children will need them.
Monday 3rd May – Bank Holiday! The school is closed – let’s hope for sunshine!
Gentle reminder to all parents- when dropping off or collecting children please be
extra careful when driving around the village. Unfortunately this morning there was an
incident of a child nearly being knocked over by a car.
Hair! – Please can you make sure that your child’s hair is tied up during the school day.
Last day of term – Friday 28th May
ILLNESS -If your child is unwell in any form i.e. headache, tummy ache, sickness, sore
throat etc. PLEASE DO NOT sent them into school. We would encourage you to
undertake a Lateral Flow test on your child.
COVID TESTING – a reminder – if a member of your household has to go for a
Covid test, (NOT a work requested Lateral Flow Test) please remember that all
those within the household MUST self-isolate until the results of the Covid test
have been received. Please advise us of who the person is going for the test.
Children can then return to school once a negative result is received. Should this
happen over the weekend or out of school hours, please contact 07741 594078.
