YEAR 4 – on Thursday we will be discussing books we have really enjoyed and why we would recommend them to a friend. If possible, could children bring in a copy of their favourite book to use in our reading lesson. This will just be needed for the day and will come home with them after school that day.

Reception - Sweets/Chocolates
Year 1 - Pamper products for the family
Year 2 - Christmas decorations
Year 3 - Festive foods
Year 4 - Arts and crafts
Year 5 - Bars of chocolate
Year 6 - A bottle of your choice
If you have anything else that could be donated as a prize for the raffle or for hampers, please send them/hand them into the School Office.
SCARLET CLASS – we will be creating our Christmas hoop next week and would like 500ml plastic bottles to create snowmen. Any donations of these bottles would be greatly appreciated. We will be making our hoop next Friday.
YEAR 4 – FRIDAY 29th NOVEMBER – “Music Through the Decades” dress up day. Children can choose any decade they like and dress in an outfit to match the music being listened to at that time.

THE ADVENT SLEEPOVER CHALLENGE
In January a group from the church slept in tents in the churchyard to raise money to run shelters in the area to give homeless people a hot meal and bed for a night. The aim was also to raise awareness of the homeless crisis in the local community. The challenge is organised by the Church Urban Fund. We were appalled at the thought of people having to sleep rough every night, without the luxury we had of a hot meal and knowing that we could return to our comfortable beds the night after.
We are organising another sleepout on December 6th.
I would be really grateful to anyone who feels they could make a small donation to help this vital work.
My link to the fundraising page is:

Or the School Office will accept a donation in a labelled envelope.
Thank you.

*Please help if you can*
Elodie in Year 1 had asked if she could help children that don’t have things at Christmas this year.
We have found a charity at Cliftonville community centre that provide Christmas dinners to families that don’t get one and this includes a large number of children.
They send each family away with a food parcel to see them through the rest of the Christmas period and they also make food parcels for children and are in need of selection boxes, chocolate Santa’s and food items that are specifically aimed children. Please no toys.
Elodie will be collection any donations to take down to them the week before Christmas. If you can help please pick up something for us on your next shop (some selection boxes are as little as 80p - £1).
We will have a collection point at our house or can collect if there is enough demand for it.
Please help Elodie to help the children in our local area this Christmas.
We will send picture and posts regularly so you can see how we are getting on.
Thank you in advanced let’s make a bit of a difference this Christmas 🎄🎁🎅🏼
