Daily Update - Monday 13th January 2020

YEAR 4 – children will be creating their own “digestive system” tomorrow.  Could we please ask that children bring in a plain, light coloured t-shirt tomorrow as part of the whole school Science & Technology day. Children will be sewing and sticking material to this and will hopefully be wearing their t-shirts in the afternoon.  Thank you for your continued support.
 
YEAR 1 – STEM DAY – we will be making moon buggies next Friday 17th January.  If you are able to donate any of the following it would be greatly appreciated – bottle tops, egg boxes, shoe boxes/cereal boxes, milk cartons, cotton reels or silver foil.  Thank you very much for your continued support.
 
RECEPTION – STEM DAY – we are looking for donations of middles of toilet rolls and any old patterned clothing or fabric for our Stem day next week.  If you have any of these items, please drop them into the Office.

STEM DAY (WHOLE SCHOOL) – Tuesday 21st January – we would like all children to come to school dressed as either an engineer or a scientist.  This is part of our of Science day.

Also, as part of our Stem Day we will be selling raffle tickets for 50p at break times from Monday 20th January.  Prizes include Knex kit and Meccano kit. 

 

BOWLS CLUB – we have another Club to add to our list of After School Clubs.  Bowls Club will start this Friday 17th January.  If you would like your child to take part in this Club, please sign and return the attached slip.  Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

LIBRARY BOOKS – we have a large amount of books outstanding/not returned to our Library.  If your child has borrowed a book, could we please ask that it be returned as soon as possible.  Some of our books are overdue by nearly 50 days!

 

RECEPTION CLASSES – African Drumming experience.  This is taking place on Wednesday 15th January.  If you have not already returned the consent slip and paid via www.schoolmoney.co.uk, please can you do so by end of day tomorrow.

 

DOODLE 30 DAY CHALLENGE – WHOLE SCHOOL – children will be given a copy of the 30 Day Challenge.  Attached is a copy.  Please encourage your children to do their Doodles as much as possible! 

 

FANCY DRESS COSTUMES – if you have any spare fancy dress costumes.  Could we please ask that you donate them to our school.  We are trying to boost our lunchtime play equipment and would love any costumes you may wish to donate.

 

SPARE PE KIT – if you have any spare items of PE Kit ie plimsolls, trainers, shorts, PE tops that your child may have outgrown.  Could we please ask that you donate them to school, please bring into the office.

 

PE KITS – please could we ask that you ensure your child’s PE Kit is in school at all times. We would also ask that children have with them suitable clothing for the weather ie tracksuits and trainers for outdoor PE.  PE t-shirt, shorts and plimsolls for indoor PE.
