DAILY UPDATE – 5th OCTOBER 2020 

PARENT LETTER UPDATES YEARS 1-6 - you will have received an email today with an Update from each of our Year groups. These Update are very informative and outline how the children have been doing since the beginning of Term and also teachers/schools expectations over the coming terms. 

SUPPLEMENTARY FORMS – if you have forms that you would like Rev Braddy to complete.  Could we please have them in the Office by Friday 9^th October.  This is to ensure that they can be signed prior to Rev Braddy being unavailable next week. 

Rev Braddy has also sent the following message re Supplementary Forms for St George’s Foundation School 

Unfortunately, this year St George’s have changed their form. I can now only sign this if the child has attended church: 

at least fortnightly for 2 years 

at least monthly for 2 years 

at least fortnightly for 1 year 

at least monthly for 1 year. 

  

In previous years I was able to tick ‘Attended Occasionally – Church festivals, School services’  but sadly now this isn’t the case.   

  

The Ursuline form is still ok for me to sign. 

 

 

Friday 9^th October is 'HelloYellow' day in support of young people's mental health.                                                                                                                                                  

To raise awareness of this, all children, parents and staff are invited to come to school on Friday dressed in all things yellow. 

 

PARENT CONSULTATIONS – we are currently in the process of organising Parent Consultations and are hoping these will take place during the week of the 19^th October.  Once we have further information, we will of course let you know. 

 

FLU VACCINATIONS – this will take place on Tuesday 8^th December.  Further information will be sent nearer the time.  The vaccination is actually a nasal spray and is available for Reception through to Year 6. 

 

REMINDER – School dinners are £2.24 per day or £11.20 per week.  Please ensure that these are paid prior to your child having a dinner.  If possible, please pay via www.schoolmoney.co.uk.  Should you have any problems logging in, please contact the Office and we can issue you will a reset password.  Alternatively, please send the monies in with your child in a sealed, clearly named envelope. Thank you. 

 

LIBRARY BOOKS – if your child has an outstanding library book(s).  Could we please ask that these are returned to school as soon as possible.  Thank you. 

FORGOTTEN ITEM DROP OFF – could we please ask that you ensure your child has all the correct bits and pieces for school each day.  This includes coats, book bags, water bottles etc. 

CATERLINK are currently advertising for a new member for their kitchen staff.  Duties will include  – serving children and cleaning. The position is here with us at Minster.  Please contact Claire Medhurst on 07392 879511.  Hours are 10 per week, minimum wage.
