DAILY UPDATE – 24th September 2020
CHANGE IN WEATHER – could we please ask that all children come to school with a coat. As the weather has shown today it can change very quickly. Even if the children have a raincoat this can be useful.
RECEPTION CLASSES - The children had LOTS of fun playing in the rain today!! Please remember puddlesuits and wellies. Also if they can bring in a plastic bag with a spare pair of trousers/skirt, pants and socks that will be great if they do end up getting wet. Also please can everything be named.
HINDLEAP 2021 YEAR 6 – a reminder text went out yesterday regarding this trip. If you would like us to transfer any monies that were paid for the French Trip across to Hindleap, please give the Office a call and we will be more than happy to do this for you. If you would like your child to attend, please could we ask that you pay the deposit of £100 by the end of September as stated in Mr Marston’s letter of the 9th September. The deposit is non-refundable.
EMAILS – please can we ask you to check your emails regularly as you will have seen today we have sent out some useful information regarding NHS Test & Trace.
SECONDARY SCHOOLS – St George’s Church of England are holding a Year 6 Virtual Open Evening on Monday 28th September. More information regarding this has been placed on our website and also on our Facebook page. We do have a small number of booklets in the Office should you wish to receive a papercopy.
DINNER MONEY – please ensure this is paid weekly. Dinners are £2.24 per day or £11.20 per week. Payment can be made via www.schoolmoney.co.uk If you are unable to access this, please contact the Office and we will be able to issue you with a Password Reset. Cash can be sent in via your child, please ensure this is in an envelope, clearly labelled with your child’s name, class and amount enclosed.
FORGOTTEN ITEMS FOR CHILDREN – please do not ENTER the School Office to deliver/drop off items your child may have forgotten. Please either ring the Office or use the buzzer on the main car park gates and either Liz or Karen will come to the gate and collect the item from yourselves.
END OF DAY COLLECTIONS – thank you for all your continued support and co-operation with the end of day collections. A quick reminder ready for next week our Reception children will be leaving at 2.50pm, so therefore, parents of those children in Reception will be queuing from that time. Please continue to either remain in your car or wait on the opposite side of the road until your child’s Year group is due to leave the school. Please do not queue until your child’s allocated pick up time.
PE KITS – these MUST be in school at all times. Please also be mindful of the changes in weather as PE lessons will take place outside and therefore, your child will need to have the appropriate clothing for the conditions.
